Yorston Lodge Nursery
Welcome to Yorston Nursery, where boys and girls join us in the term of their third birthday for the beginning of an education as individual as your child.
A specialist setting within the school, offering stimulating educational games, books, musical instruments, craft, dressing up and of course toys. With dedicated and highly trained early years staff, in a nurturing setting, your child is very much part of the Yorston family from their first day.
The transition from home to the nursery is carefully supported by our experienced staff, with children often increasing their sessions as their confidence builds during the first term.
We focus on learning through play at this early stage, promoting curiosity and capturing the imagination. Children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum which also builds the foundations of mathematics, reading, writing and science.
The early years spent in Yorston Lodge Nursery, make the eventual move into our Reception class almost seamless.
“Children make outstanding progress in reading, writing and mathematics, in both the Nursery and Reception classes. OFSTED
