Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make last Saturday’s Christmas Morning such a resounding success. The air was filled with the festive aroma of mulled wine and the mince pies were rapidly consumed. Congratulations to all the lucky winners, especially the children with their Pot Lucks and the Toy Tombola. The Yorston Lodge Highlighter Pens did a roaring trade – there are a few left if anybody would still like to purchase one. Charmaine Hughes won the adult hamper and the much sort after Advent Calendar was won by Jeremy Phillips (Special thanks to the Hatton family for their generous donation).
Tim Hatton was the closest to guess the weight of Santa’s Sack and win the children’s hamper whilst Emily Hardman’s guess was exactly where Santa’s Treasure was hidden. Lucy Flanagan guessed the exact weight of the cake at 1.5 kg and furthermore, she had the closest guess to the number of sweets in the jar. The exact number was 323 and Lucy guessed 320. The cuddly bear was called “Jingle” and was correctly guessed by Lucas Lee. In the colouring competitions the winners were: Thomas James and Libby James in the Infants, Evelyn Dykins, Ronan Timmons-Williams, Emma Wilkin and Penny O’Brien in the Juniors.
Very special thanks to all the ladies on the Parents’ Association Committee who worked so hard to prepare the event and managed to raise £1150 for the benefit of all our children.
Thank you also to Kate Baldry for providing her ‘White Dog’ jewellery stall and to Mrs Smithso
n for all her lovely Christmas decorations.
Also, thank you to Annabel Bailey for her stall selling Coach House Brewery Beer.
Finally, thank you to you all for supporting the whole event.
